Comox Valley Multicultural & Immigrant Support Society is a non profit organization which established since 1991, it is operating by volunteers with enthusiam and hospitality to assist the immigrants who moved to a community they are not familiar with. How to engage newcomers into our commnity smoothly, and to provide the interculture opportunities to the residents of our community are the goal of CVMISS.
With 40 acres of Natural Park the Comox Valley Exhibition is situated on the bank of the Tsolum River in the scenic Comox Valley. Entertaining, educational and fun for the entire family; the “Old Fashioned Fall Fair” is the place to be the last weekend of August. The Fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Comox Valley agriculture.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Vancouver Island have been helping young people to discover, develop and achieve their best potential as they grow to become Canada’s future adults, citizens and leaders, by engaging them in activities that challenge them, and help them develop healthy minds and bodies. It provides childcare, daycare, summer camps, teen and youth programs, family programs and parenting programs where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop the confidence and skills for life.
