Students are expected to meet and adhere to the Code of Conduct set out in Code of Conduct policy while completing a program of study at Keystone College. If necessary, students should request clarification from the Campus Manager, Director or Senior Educational Administrator. “Student” means a person who is presently enrolled at Keystone College.
Students who violate the Code of Conduct will be subject to the procedures and discipline outlined below, which may include immediate dismissal from the institution.
Students can normally be put on academic probation (due to non compliant with attendance policy and unsatisfactory academic performance) for next scheduled course and given opportunity to improve their academic performance. Keystone College will try its best to provide any possible resource to help students in this case. However, if students fail to make adequate academic progress according to the timelines and requirements set for their chosen program, he/she may be dismissed. When a student is dismissed, the academic record will indicate “Incomplete/Dismissed”.
A student in any program who is dismissed will not be eligible to apply for readmission to the institute for at least one year. After one year, students who have been dismissed from a program may be admitted to the same program provided they meet all admission requirements in effect for that program at the time they apply. Such applications must be accompanied by a statement from the Campus Manager/Senior Educational Administrator who recommended the dismissal outlining the reasons for which the student was dismissed. Compelling evidence must be presented that a more successful outcome is likely if the student is to be readmitted.
All cases for readmission must be reviewed and approved by the Campus Manager/Director and/or Senior Educational Administrator. Students dismissed from a program more than once are not eligible to be considered for admission.
The academic record will indicate “Dismissed- Academic reason”.
A student who fails to register and/or becomes absent without leave from their program for more than 10% of the program consecutively, he/she may be dismissed from the program. The academic record will indicate “Dismissed”.
